Simple fix, copy log from C:\_SMSTaskSequence\ to %Temp%. When PE Ends, the smsts.log is copied to X:\_SMSTaskSequence, but when the OS boots it begins a new log in %Temp%. Not having the full log makes it difficult to see variable expansion in WinPE if something fails. This really seems to be a bug or oversight, and it annoyed me that the entire log doesn't get copied so I tried to fix it. May be better ways of doing this, but its working for me quite well. Copies to the defined SLShare folder\ComputerName folder. Goes in right after the Results.xml is saved. This file is in 3 places: your script folder(\\Server\Share$\Scripts\), the WDS Boot Image(\\Server\REMINST\Boot\圆4\Images\) used for PXE Booting, and the WinPE Image(\\Server\Share$\Boot\) used for capturing images or rebooting into Windows PE. This file is generated AFTER logs are already copied, so it must be put in f. Results.xml - Just the error\success log of the entire TS, trying to find the failures in BDD\SMSTS.log was always a pain so having this makes it easy to see what is failing during a TS, then using that to dig into other logs for specific failure codes\reasons helps. It shouldn't matter much where they are put as they shouldn't be used in these files elsewhere. I did declare all my variables at the beginning of the functions, but for simplicity they are shown in the code\screenshots. I'm running MDT 8456, should work for most recent versions but I've not tested on older versions.
